I actually took time to sit and just draw a bit today and yesterday because it’s been a long time. It was nice. Tried to minimize my use of the eraser.
A bobcat and a coyote from the university’s vertebrate collection.
i just want to make it clear that i use ‘yall’ cause it’s a gender neutral term, i dont want any of you to think im southern. please don’t think of me like that.
this sucks!
wah wah wah im gonna use the lingo of a particular region but pretend im better than the residents of that region bc i have a holier than thou attitude & don’t actually know anything about the region or its inhabitants or history & want to avoid holding myself & the region im from accountable for our shit wah wah wah
calling out southernphobic appropriation i see
People usually hate on US southern accents bc they associate southerners with being stupid. I can’t speak for OP’s intentions, so I won’t make assumptions, but there are genuine biases that get overlooked. I can understand butchbitchblues’s frustration.
Finnish soldier gets separated from the rest of his unit but he’s the only one carrying the emergency amphetamines for the unit, takes too many and goes on a one man rampage for like 2 weeks straight giving the opposing Soviet soldiers nightmares for decades. Oh and he did it all on skis.
Did he survive?
Yes, during his methed up 2-3 week rampage he got injured by a land mine, travelled 400km on skis, and only ate pine buds and a Siberian Jay that he caught which he ate raw. When he made it back to Finnish lines he was taken to a hospital where it was found his heart rate was nearly 200 beats per minute and his weight had dropped to 43kg (94.7lbs).
His name was Aimo Koivunen if you want to look him up
Those are the eyes of a man who has seen god and laughed
my man
this is exactly what I expected a man who downs amphetamines and conducts a one man guerrilla war while eating birds raw to look like
“The patient: this 3-day-old little boy was born with torn upper and lower wings. Let’s see how we can help!”
Today the Department of Awesomely Good Deeds salutes costume designer and master embroiderer Romy McCloskey who used her fine skills with delicate materials to help a monarch butterfly she’d raised and who’d emerged from his cocoon with damaged right wings.
“The operating room and supplies: towel, wire hanger, contact cement, toothpick, cotton swab, scissors, tweezers, talc powder, extra butterfly wing”
“Securing the butterfly and cutting the damaged parts away. Don’t worry it doesn’t hurt them. It’s like cutting hair or trimming fingernails”
“Ta-da! With a little patience and a steady hand, I fit the new wings to my little guy”
“The black lines do not match completely and it is missing the black dot (male marking) on the lower right wing, but with luck, he will fly”
“FLIGHT DAY! After a day of rest and filling his belly with homemade nectar, it is time to see if he will fly”
“With a quick lap around the yard and a little rest on a bush, he was off! A successful surgery and outcome! Bye, little buddy! Good luck”
On October 28th, 2017, the official Nintendo LINE account published an audio file titled “Jump Up, Super Star! Short Version Free Download”. The audio was a 47-second long sample of the background track of the “Jump Up, Super Star!” song from Super Mario Odyssey, with pitch-shifted Toad sound effects overlaid on top of it to resemble singing. The account then revealed that the song was supposed to be sung by Kinopio-kun, the green Toad mascot of the account, and posted a picture of Kinopio-kun dressed as Pauline (seen as the album art on this post). Note that the Nintendo LINE account is operated directly by Nintendo of Japan. Main Blog | Twitter | Patreon | Store | Source
