Friendly reminder it’s going to do you a lot of good to vote during the congressional elections. They’re just as important as the presidential election if not more. Whichever party makes up the majority of the senate and the house greatly influences whether the proposals of each candidate become a thing or not.

#1: Register and vote

#2: Register and vote

It’s not just the presidential race – 88% OF CONGRESS IS UP FOR RE-ELECTION. GUESS WHO IS PASSING ALL THE ANTI-LGBTQIA+ AND ANTI-ABORTION LAWS?!?

#3: Register and vote

NEVER FORGET THAT IF PRESIDENT OBAMA HADN’T PUT JUSTICES ELENA KAGAN  AND SONIA SOTOMAYOR ON THE BENCH, WE WOULD NOT BE CELEBRATING LEGAL GAY MARRIAGE TODAY. THE SPLIT OF THE VOTE WAS 5/4.

#4: Register and vote

Please share this simple #1-2-3 with anyone who says “voting doesn’t matter”

#5: Register and vote

TL;DR VERSION:

1. THIS IS NOT A F’ING DRILL.

2. YES VOTING MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE

As a long-time Indiana resident, it should say something that so many other people that live in Indiana are happy about Pence becoming Trump’s running candidate only because that means he can no longer be our governor.

He’s had so much of a negative impact on Indiana’s education, culture, and how we all work together.

Pence has already tried to ruin our state. Don’t let him ruin the entire country.

I gots a question. I don’t turn 18 in time to vote against Trump. How can I help?

GREAT QUESTION!!!

Answer: talk to your voting-age friends and get them to vote! If the millennials turn out in November then Trump will go down in a landslide.

If each person who wants  to make a difference is able to convince just ONE OR TWO PEOPLE to get out and vote, it will be GAME OVER for Trump.

You don’t have to convince a crowd, just motivate whoever you can and get them to the polls!!!

U.S. READERS REGISTER TO VOTE HERE AND PLEASE SHARE!

This is not a drill.

Register and vote, dammit.

Millennials CAN make change happen.

That’s how we got Justin Trudeau elected in Canada. We voted.

You can do it, USA. This Canadian believes in you.

Just adding that voting third party for President will not help. You need to vote for the Democratic nominee at the top of the ticket. Jill Stein is not going to be President. The Green Party isn’t even on all 50 state ballots and she polls under 9% nationally. Do not listen to people who tell you both parties are the same. Their platforms alone should tell you otherwise.

Do not be like the morons in Britain who “didn’t think [brexit] would happen.” Vote! Support the change you want to see in the world, and oppose the change you don’t want!

I just want to emphasize the importance of voting for members of Congress, because the president only gets to yay/nay a law if it gets through them first.

Corporate Media Has Complete Collapse Over Hillary [x]

[Redacted Tonight with Lee Camp]

June 10, 2016:

“The corporate media keeps telling us to now celebrate
this grand moment in history. Okay. First, I only need to celebrate if the
candidate is a good person, who stands for… Oh. I don’t know… anything! Hey! Here’s
the first female corporate election fraud Presidential nominee! Brought to you
by the good people of Goldman Sachs and Monsanto!
Ah, well. Break out the champagne!

Secondly, she’s not the first woman to be a
Presidential nominee. Jill Stein was the nominee, for the Green Party, just
last election cycle and there are many others! So yeah, “Anybody who isn’t
celebrating Hillary is a misogynist.” Meanwhile, you’re bulldozing over
history, to knock other women out of the way.

Sorry ladies, you weren’t on a corporatist party platform, so you don’t count! Out of the way, Victoria Woodhull,
who was a presidential nominee in 1872. You mean nothing, in your sepia photos.
You’re no Hillary!” – Lee Camp

Definitely a good thing to read over before we all start having heart attacks on Super Tuesday.

Super-Short Version: A lot of the states that are voting in the Primaries on Tuesday lean heavily towards Hillary, so there’s a good chance Bernie’s gonna look like he’s taking a huge hit this week. In the weeks afterwards, however, the states that have been leaning towards Bernie will have their Primaries, so he’ll make a comeback then… Assuming, of course, that we don’t all get discouraged from the Super Tuesday results and remember to vote. Apparently, the same thing happened back in ‘08, with Hillary gaining huge leads on Super Tuesday but Obama making a comeback afterwards to get the nomination.

In any case, keep yer hopes up, no matter what happens on Tuesday! Oh, and once again… Make sure you go out and vote!

Considering that i’m already seeing people give up on Bernie this really need to be seen.

OK Tumblr,

i see a lot of reblogs for Bernie here but we have to make sure we’re taking actions to ensure he has a fighting chance in this arena. His opponents have the money and the media circus backing them but he has us, so let’s run it!

The primaries are elections held months before the ACTUAL presidential election that basically decide who the main candidates for each party will be, specifically, who will be listed on the ballot in the election in november. if we want Bernie to stand a chance at all he MUST be on the ballot in November. For that to become a reality we need everyone reading this to get them and their friends to vote in the Primaries! I’ve used the site www.voteforbernie.com to list the following info below so you can all see it easily enough and share it with just a click. Check your state below for the appropriate information on when and how to vote in the primaries!

Below are the registration and voting dates for all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington DC (as a separate voting date). Be sure to register! Click your state to find out how! Below is a key to reading the following information!

Some states have open registration meaning it doesn’t matter which party you’re registered as, you can still vote for Bernie.

*** Some states are CLOSED meaning you MUST be registered as DEMOCRAT by the date’s i’ve listed to vote for Bernie.

*~* Some states are SEMI-CLOSED meaning you must be registed as DEMOCRAT or UNDECLARED to vote for Bernie.

# means you can register or switch parties the day of voting at the voting station.

REMINDER: About half of the states allow 17 year olds to vote in the primaries if they will be 18 years of age by the actual election. Check if your state let’s you do this and you can help if it is a state that allows this!

Even if you aren’t planning to vote for him, this is important information.

Heads up to New Yorkers voting for Bernie Sanders

wanderingendlessly:

bethylgrixon:

In New York, you have to be registered as a Democrat BY OCTOBER 9TH, 2015. Otherwise, you CANNOT vote in the NY primary on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, as New York has closed primaries.

Please spread the word, register to vote, and visit www.voteforbernie.org for more information.

This is so important. I live in Maryland and I didn’t realized Maryland has closed primaries, too. I was registered as a Libertarian (which I still am) but I’m voting for Bernie in this election, and had I not clicked on that www.voteforbernie.org link I wouldn’t have realized that I wouldn’t be able to vote for Bernie in the primaries. Everyone, if you’re registered to vote, make sure you’re registered as a democrat, and if you’re not registered, register!
