this moth here is a Lythria cruentaria and we in Sweden are calling it an Allmän Purpurmätare. Very rare in Sweden and it can only be found somewhere in Skåne (don’t want to say the exactly place, sorry) but this one is what I know redlisted. So, if you se one – let it be and just enjoy the sight of this little moth flying away to the sky… ❤

Virginian Tiger moth using a Regal moth as a tent.
One side of this butterfly was curiously fuller and larger than the other. It was either a lopsided female or possibly a half-and-half gynandromorph. Probably the former, although I’d like to think it was the latter. I love gynandromorphs!
Photos of the first two butterflies I released! The second one peaced out the she was able to fly, so these pictures of her emerging are the only ones I have (not that I’m complaining).
