“We receive alarming reports from Chechnya that unknown people are calling those who are now hiding from persecution and offer help with traveling abroad. These people call themselves the employees of the LGBT organization and invite to come to Krasnodar and discuss the details.
The Russian LGBT network officially states that our representatives in the regions do not communicate and are not authorized to call someone. All communication is conducted ONLY through the Hotline and mail kavkaz@lgbtnet.org. We warn that such proposals for assistance are not related to the work of the Russian LGBT network and may pose a threat to life.”
“Мы получаем тревожные сообщения из Чечни о том, что неизвестные люди звонят на телефоны тех, кто сейчас скрывается от преследований и предлагают помощь с выездом заграницу. Эти люди представляются сотрудниками ЛГБТ-организацией и приглашают приехать в Краснодар и обсудить детали.

Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant has just signed HB1523, which will protect virtually anyone in the state who discriminates against LGBT people on the basis of “religious freedom” as well as refuse to recognize transgender people’s true gender identity.
Among the despicable things in this bill law:
Individuals, religious organizations and certain businesses will face no punishment from the government for anti-LGBT discrimination
That includes discrimination in housing, employment, services, and especially everything specifically related to weddings
It’s also anti-premarital sex, protecting those who believe that “sexual relations are properly reserved” only for man-woman marriages
It specifically says that a person’s gender can only be determined by “anatomy and genetics at time of birth”
Obviously, that means it blocks transgender people from using the sex-segregated bathrooms that make them feel safe, comfortable and affirmed
The government will protect counseling services, foster care and adoption services who refuse LGBT people, EVEN IF those services receive government funding
People who refuse transition-related healthcare to transgender people, including mental health or fertility services, are also protected

statement in favor of diversity and inclusivity. It’s b/c of people
like you who think “this story lacks in lgbt representation” counts as
actual valid criticism. It’s b/c of people like you who get so wrapped
up in the Assumed Straight By Default discussion that you end up
concocting some fantasy about how the only people who like Dumbledore
are homophobes who hate openly gay people. It’s b/c of shit like this.

when marginalized people write from their own fucked up, problematic
experiences, people like you descend upon them like vultures, picking
their work apart to find and discuss every morally disagreeable thing
under the thin veil of ~criticism~. Then, after the author has long
since fled the creative sphere due to the harassment received, you
bemoan the lack of marginalized creators, and then place the blame
solely at the feed of w/e convenient social structure you desire. B/c
you make this shit worse for us, and then act like you’re doing us a
favor by trying to manipulate everyone into adopting your personal
preference regarding lgbt representation.
We can’t just be in stories, b/c it’s never fucking good enough for you.

you will move those goal posts as soon as anybody makes any effort to

are wrong. B/c you’re so far up your own ass, that you’ve lost the
ability to empathize with other people. B/c I’m literally saying the

1. I’m not straight and I don’t appreciate people who assume my sexuality
2. A guy in a girl in a relationship doesn’t automatically make them ‘straight’ lmao but thanks for erasing bi/pansexuality you piece of shit
2. Honestly I don’t think I headcanon a single character as “straight” and that doesn’t change just because they’re shipped with the opposite gender so shut the fuck up.
