I do really like some of the enemy sprites in EarthBound, but holy moly some of them are a mess. I watched a friend play recently and the Armored Frog was bad enough to inspire me to try a redraw. IMO, it’s probably the worst one in the game (except for a particularly special boss sprite).

Plus a bonus Coil Snake.

The Highschool of the Dead dub is genuinely one of the best dubs I’ve watched. The voice acting is A+ and the dialogue is hilarious.

Seriously that show is way better than it has any right to be and I don’t entirely understand how but it works.

I don’t think I mentioned that when my friend graduated last winter I got one of those personalized cookie cakes that said “congration you done it”. But I wanted to make sure they understood what I really wanted and that I wasn’t just typing drunk or something so I went in person to place the order. I looked the lady in the eyes as I handed her a printed out image of the original cake to be stapled with my order form and showed her that’s how I wanted it spelled and when I walked in to pick it up several days later she didn’t even need to ask for a name, just handed me the box and laughed. They got the font right and everything, even copied the little swirly things. It was beautiful.

I forgot to mention I had to give an extra signature to prove that we had discussed that yes, I did in fact want the writing misspelled and no it was not a mistake or a malicious sabotage by the employees.

Also I could have made it myself for a quarter of the price, but I WANTED to pay the extra for the experience.

These two are my favorite pair for double battles. Cantatio has a Bold nature, and knows Thunder Wave, Hex, Pain Split, and Dazzling Gleam. Since he’s got special moves covered, Froslass is more physical. Her name’s Rize and she knows Hail, Attract, Ice Fang, and Crunch.

Also, unrelated, but I was playing Cards Against Humanity with a college group a couple years ago and one girl asked “What’s Adderall?” and the answer someone gave her was “It’s a pill you take when you need to take a test.” Actually, it’s a prescription medication used to treat ADHD and is a controlled substance.

Fuck you if you use prescription ADHD medication without a prescription or in a way not prescribed, or if you give it to other people for such purposes. Fuck you for making it harder for people actually prescribed these medications to obtain them from pharmacies. They have to make even smaller windows for when you can fill a Rx, how long you can wait after the doctor signs it to get it filled, and you’re shit out of luck if you miss that window. You just. Don’t get your meds that month I guess. Oh, and they can make you pay more to obtain them, too. I’ve seen all of these changes in just the past couple of years.

I’m not taking medication to “take a test”. I’m taking medication to help me be a functional member of society. My meds aren’t what got me good grades. They let my brain do the job it’s SUPPOSED to be doing on it’s own. They bring me to the level I SHOULD be at without ADHD messing everything up. Do your job, fricking study, and get enough sleep.

Honestly I think the hardest thing about moving back to school will be leaving my dogs. Working with them was part of my daily life for the past year and it will be very weird suddenly shifting to living without them in my house. I can call and video chat with my family and keep up communication with them, but you can’t do that with a dog. I know I’ll be alright but it will be hard at first before I’m used to it.
