I got paper jam and holy crap the battle theme
From Mario’s perspective Paper Mario should just be a straight line
If Paper Mario was a two-dimensional object, then from Paper Mario’s perspective, Mario should look like a gross cross-section of his actual body.
2D objects can’t see 3D space, since 3D space is an aggregate of 2D cross-sections (think of the way an MRI looks at the human brain.)
