Acerola’s Mimikyu is an actual ghost, so it can float and pass through solid objects unlike regular Mimikyu such as Jessie’s

“I see! Mimi’s a ghost, huh?”

This raises so many questions…

A Ghost Ghost?

WAIT

WAIT

then…

then what the hell are Ghost Pokemon if they AREN’T GHOSTS

I AM JESSIE HERE

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN WHAT IS GOING ON

I’ve assumed ghost pokemon aren’t actual ghosts, but rather creatures with ghost-like attributes. They’re not spirits of a dead person (with a few exceptions if the pokedex is being honest, but even then they’re still a pokemon and behave as such).

Kind of like how a poltergeist isn’t generally considered to be an actual spirit, but rather a manifestation of strong negative emotions. It’s a “ghost”, but it’s not a GHOST ghost.

So in this case, as “actual ghost” maybe she means the ghost of a ghost-type pokemon. If they’re not dead to begin with, it makes more sense.

But now my question is does this Mimikyu ghost function as a normal pokemon? Can it battle?

Because if it can, then what the fuck.
