That uncomfortable feeling when someone is participating in their own cultural heritage, someone else decides they arenât, and that someone else uses stereotypes to back up why the first person isnât âreallyâ a part of that culture.
(Also: for people wanting to know about the âfresaâ comment, itâs a Mexican Spanish slang term referring to empty-headed preppy kids who âact Americanâ (though it literally means âstrawberryâ- i.e., red on the outside, white on the inside). So itâs the equivalent of calling a black person an Oreo.)
And God help these peopleâs reactions when they learn Iâm an Anglo fluent in Spanish (as in, I speak it almost as well as I speak English) who wants to teach it to middle and high school kids for a living. (Hell, even some kids who would be classified as heritage speakers- they might not actually be fluent or may only know English since theyâre third- or fourth-generation from the original Spanish speakers. I had a Puerto Rican guy in one of my college classes in the past who basically only knew Puerto Rican slang.)

Iâm personally pissed at western feminism because every time I hear âkill all menâ and âmenâs rights are a joke,â I think of my brother, my father, my boyfriend and my best friend and remember that they can still be legally drafted. They are 20 times more likely to die at work. They are more likely to be victims of violence. Itâs still legal to mutilate the genitals of baby boys.Â
Now tell me, why is it we need a gender-specific movement in modern western society for the less oppressed gender? What oppression are women in the west facing? When convicted of a crime, we get lighter punishments. We donât get any punishment for falsely accusing somebody of rape. We donât get genital mutilation, we have equal job opportunities, we donât even make up Âźth of the homeless population, and we have vastly better reproductive rights, and are favored over men in child custody battles.Â
Feminism was relevant when women were actually oppressed in our society. Back when women didnât have the right to vote, run for office, could barely get any work, or do much more than get married and have children. But things arenât like that anymore. The only âproblemsâ Iâm finding are difficulties getting sterilized, and conspiracy theories about some âpatriarchyâ and how issues that actually infringe on the rights of men are somehow caused by the myth that âwomen are weakerâ.Â

Of all the things I know about the Menâs Rights Movement, the best thing by far is the fact that MRAs are officially listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which, to its credit, is a very impressive achievement and worthwhile contribution to society.
Then you donât know much about the movement. Hereâs a list of things that the MRM has fought for: -Men are 99.99% of combat deaths. -97% of the combat deaths since the Gulf War were men. -Men are required by law to register for selective service and women are not. A draft may not have happened since the Vietnam War, but it can still legally happen again. -Men are 76% of homicide victims. -Men are 80% of suicide victims. (The 11th cause of death in the United States.) -Male rape victims are rarely taken seriously by society. Prison rape is an issue that isnât being dealt with. And before you say that those men are criminals who deserve it: -There is blatant anti-male discrimination in the criminal justice system and the sentencing disparity between men and women exceeds that between whites and any other minority.Average sentences for crime by gender: Female â 18.51 months Male â 51.52 months -Men are half of the victims of domestic violence but get no state funded shelters. One of the male domestic violence shelters was shut down because of feminist protests, and the founder, a male victim of domestic violence, committed suicide.
Is it any wonder that the MRAs are pissed off? In this so-called patriarchal society, they are dying. Men are dropping like flies. Having pieces of their infant dicks cut off. They are the majority of the homeless. They get little to no help if they are raped or abused. They lose the rights to their children for no good reason at all. Are you really so egocentric that you think this is about women not worshiping men? Or even about women at all?Â
Now let me ask you something a bit more personal. Why is it that you can accuse one group of being hateful, and agree with Southern Poverty Law Center, when you yourself label yourself with a word that has hate in itâs definition, Ms. Misandrist? Do you think the hatred of men is funny? Do you think itâs non existent or a joke? Let me tell you something. My mother abused my younger brother when he was younger than five years old simply because he was a boy. Do you think thatâs funny? Do you think that was justified? A two year old child being thrown against the wall? Being beaten to the point he was covered in bruises when he was five? Do you think he deserved it because he had a penis? Or do you think that my boyfriend or brothers deserve to be drafted one day into a war that they donât believe in? Donât you have any male family members? Do you want to see them get killed at work? Paying child support to their rapistâs kid?
Misandry is real and itâs hurting people. Men have their rights infringed on daily by either feminists or the general populace. Women in our society arenât equal in the sense that we are considered to be more important and higher class citizens then men, not in the idea that we are oppressed. And for some reason, anybody who speaks out about these injustices are automatically labeled misogynists. A âhate groupâ.Â
One final question: How does knowing all of these facts and speaking out against a false generalization you had on your page make me the ignorant one?

Black Lives Matter Protesters shut down Bernie Sanders rally
Protesters who claimed affiliation with the Black Lives Matter movement stormed the stage during a rally for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in Seattle on Saturday, taking over the microphone and forcing Sanders to leave without ever speaking.Â
Moments after Sanders took the stage at Westlake Park, two women and one man climbed the stage and confronted the Democratic presidential candidate, demanding a chance to speak.
After several moments of confusion and confrontation, an event organizer took the microphone and said the protesters would be allowed to speak before Sanders. Some in the crowd booed.
I am all for the Black Lives Matter movement, I participate whenever I can, but this is not how you get support, this is how you alienate everyone.Â
This is how you turn a great movement into something horrible.

Agreed. Iâm in the Seattle area right now and I was so excited to see who may be greatest candidate our country has ever had speak, and these disrespectful women ruined it. The police should have arrested them.
Kind of baffling why they would go after the most pro-BLM candidate out of all the candidates from all the parties, whoâs been the only one consistently addressing racial issues, and who participated in the Civil Rights Movement and has the longest track record of supporting black people/rights out of all his opponents.
The only things those protestors accomplished today was devaluing their cause by behaving recklessly and hurting themselves by impairing the speech of the candidate who most supports them (and has potential to affect the lives of billions of people- Americans and all those who are affected by the US). Iâm disappointed.

The Family Pizzeria in Stafford, VA has been getting one star reviews from some assholes who are making stupid jokes and references to FNAF. With one even saying an animatronic was violent, most likely scaring any possible customers who donât know that the restaurant has no animatronics at all. PLEASE STOP NOW!! This is a real business with an incredibly friendly staff who respectfully and amazingly dealt with the onslaught of FNAF related calls. Hell, they had a âFazbearâ promotion for a free pizza topping for any fnaf fans who came to the restaurant.Â
These are good people, this is a good business, please do not leave negative reviews and ruin the good reputation of this establishment as some dumb joke.Â
EDIT: also there are 5 star reviews mentioning the smell of blood and mucus and what not. Yeah, giving it 5 stars isnât really helping when you mention the smell of decay. Please donât leave any reviews that have to do with fnaf, no matter the rating.
